Tamara A. Siegert began her career with KPC in 2011 as a paralegal, and graduated Cum Laude from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2017. During her time at Duquesne, Ms. Siegert was a Senior Staff Editor of the Duquesne Law Review and earned the Dean’s Scholarship for Excellence, the Duquesne University School of Law Scholarship, and CALI awards in Contracts and Agency Law. As a Certified Legal Intern, Ms. Siegert also represented criminal clients in Allegheny County’s Veterans Court.
Prior to joining KPC, Ms. Siegert worked in the human services field as a case manager and community advocate, assisting individuals receiving Home and Community Based Services through the Medicaid Waiver program. While employed by the Allegheny County Office of Intellectual Disability, she was responsible for community and stakeholder events and education programs regarding the Medicaid and Social Security qualification and service provision processes.
Beginning in January, 2018, Ms. Siegert will be pursuing advanced legal education as a student in the Health Law and Policy Master of Laws program at the Maurice A. Dean School of Law at Hofstra University, where she will focus her studies on Medicare, Medicaid, and state and federal healthcare regulation.
